Artist's Comments
Well, here it is, the finished picture, i'm really happy with how this turned out.
You all know my new character, Sankofa, well, she has a story to go with this picture  as well as others to go with other pictures.Here she was now, about to take her first steps to freedom from the herd's confinement, about to walk that lonely road, with a siluheut (sp?) of a stallion in the distance. But her heart was heavy with greif and sorrow at the loss of her younger sister, Lace. She heard the farewells of her parents only distantly, as you do when you are deep in thought, and she took a step forward, after what seemed like forever. But after that, she took a last look back, a moment of memories of fond childhood long gone by, and she smiled. Sankofa took a deep breath, gathered her legs underneath her, and galloped off towards the setting sun, and the siluheut of the stallion in the distance.... well, thats a taster, more will come in the next pic of her, and its more to do with the death of her sister. not a very nice past so far, but lets hope she's heading to pastures new Comments

-- warm like the sun ... wild like the river ~ my avatar was made by *h-k-b ~  Such a unique unicorn! The only area I can offer advice is the right hooves... seem to profile-ish... if you know what I mean. I love the colors and the pose. That is such a hard pose to pull off!
